1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Rawon mobile application, website, or any related services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use our Services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Rawon ("Rawon", "we", "us", or "our").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Rawon as a rider. Drivers must meet additional requirements including valid CNIC, driving license, and vehicle documentation as specified during the driver onboarding process. By using Rawon, you represent that you meet all eligibility requirements.
3. Account Registration
Accounts are created using phone number verification. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to update it as necessary. Rawon reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information.
4. Services Description
Rawon is a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers for transportation services including bike rides, rickshaw rides, and loader bookings. Rawon does not provide transportation services directly — drivers are independent contractors, not employees of Rawon. Service availability may vary by city and is subject to driver availability.
5. Rider Responsibilities
As a rider, you agree to: - Provide accurate pickup and drop-off locations - Be present at the pickup point at the agreed time - Treat drivers with respect and follow applicable laws - Pay the agreed fare upon trip completion - Not request drivers to violate traffic laws or transport prohibited items - Report any safety concerns promptly through the app or support channels
6. Driver Responsibilities
As a driver, you agree to: - Maintain valid licenses, registration, and insurance as required by law - Keep your vehicle in safe, roadworthy condition - Follow all traffic laws and regulations - Accept rides in good faith and complete trips as agreed - Treat riders with respect and professionalism - Maintain accurate online/offline status in the app - Not discriminate against riders based on race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics
7. Fares and Payments
Fares are estimated before ride confirmation based on distance, vehicle type, and demand. The final fare may vary slightly based on actual route and waiting time. Payment methods include cash and digital wallet options as available in your city. Rawon charges drivers a platform commission as disclosed during driver onboarding. All fares are displayed in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) unless otherwise stated.
8. Cancellations
Riders may cancel a ride request before a driver accepts without charge. Cancellations after acceptance may incur a cancellation fee as displayed in the app. Drivers who frequently cancel accepted rides may face account restrictions. Rawon reserves the right to update cancellation policies and fees with reasonable notice.
9. Safety
Rawon implements verification processes for drivers and provides in-app safety features. However, Rawon does not guarantee the safety of any trip. Users participate in rides at their own risk. In case of emergency, contact local authorities immediately. Report safety incidents to Rawon through the app or at [email protected].
10. Ratings and Feedback
After each trip, riders and drivers may rate each other. Ratings help maintain service quality. Rawon may use ratings to take account actions including warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent deactivation for consistently low ratings or reported misconduct.
11. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not: - Use the Services for any unlawful purpose - Harass, threaten, or endanger other users - Attempt to circumvent fare payments - Create multiple accounts to abuse promotions - Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform - Use the platform to transport illegal goods or substances - Impersonate another person or misrepresent vehicle information
12. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and software associated with Rawon are owned by or licensed to Rawon. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rawon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Rawon's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Rawon in the twelve months preceding the claim. Rawon is not responsible for the actions or omissions of drivers or riders.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rawon, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
15. Modifications
Rawon may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Termination
Rawon may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Islamabad, Pakistan, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
